Dialogue

This example of dialogue happened just outside of my apartment…

Door Opens. And then Slams Shut! Man comes stomping down the stairs.

Door Opens. And then Slams shut! Lady comes stomping down the stairs.

~Man Standing outside~

Lady: “What the heck is wrong with you?”

Man seaming extremely frustrated yells back, WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH YOU! All I wanted was for you to come along with me to do the laundry.

Lady replies: “What, do I have to come along with you to hold your hand, or can you just do it by yourself?

Man: “No… I wanted you to come along because I enjoy spending time with you”

Lady: “We live together, that isn’t plenty of time spent together?”

Man: “Well apparently it is to you so I guess it is to me to.”

~Man tries to leave~

Lady: “Where do you think you’re going?”

Man: “I’m going to go do the laundry if that’s okay with you your highness.”

Lady extremely aggravated by this comment yells “SCREW YOU!” and storms off up the stairs slamming the door behind her.

~Man walks to his car and gets inside~

Me: thinking it is over starts to walk away from the window when all of the sudden…

Lady yells out: “DON’T FORGET THE SOAP” and “Hurls” the soap from the second story window and it lands just short of his car but allowing plenty of soap to get splattered onto the side of his car.

The man yells out “YOU ARE (insert foul language here) CRAZY” and speeds off down the street.

Howl Imitation

I see a generation of change…

This generation will not be followers but rather leaders. They will not back down from a fight but rather take charge and ultimately come out on top.

Who will not just go from trend to trend hoping to fit in, but instead set examples to others that you can be your own individual and others will respect you for that.

Who except others for who they are and don’t beat them down. Who actually follow the “Golden Rule” to treat others as you want to be treated.

Who will have more respect for their elders, and help them if they see them struggling.

And for those who are not willing to change, except them for who they are, because they will soon come around.

These changes will come at a rather slow rate. However with the influence of this generation, hopefully others will follow, changing the way generations have been in the past.

Imagist Poem

Skiing

Rushing fast down the slope
An escape from reality

Sestina

Winter..

The most unpredictable season is winter
It can start out with a gentle snow
And then turn into a ferocious storm
Leaving families in the dark
When the power is out it can be very cold
Searching for any source of light

With houses out of light
It creates a horrible winter
With the temperatures freezing cold
And there being several feet of fresh snow
Families could be in the dark
If there isn’t a change in the storm

Eventually there was a break in the storm
A chance at restoring the light
A hope that it was no longer going to be dark
This was the greater side of winter
When you no longer had to be afraid of the snow
When you could enjoy the cold

You go out and play in the cold
Play in the five foot high drifts caused by the storm
Build a fort out of the snow
Cut windows in it to get light
The greater side of winter
Play until it gets dark

As the day turns to dark
And you go inside to get out of the cold
You realize the essence of winter
It’s not the terrible storm
Or being in the dark without light
It’s what winter brings…. snow

So now with the great snow
And no longer being in the dark
You can enjoy the light
Get used to the cold
and forget about the storm
Ultimately enjoying Winter

Beautiful snow freezing cold
Freighting dark powerful storm
Shining light wonderful winter
